That was a really good idea. You have hit the nail on the head. So many more resources are available now that managers can use to drive competition and increase effectiveness among team members, yet, for the most part, most managers are waiting on someone else to take the lead.

By nature, managers are not innovative. They stick with the status quo and work on continuing what already exists. When suggestions that can help everyone be more productive are put forward, there is either hesitancy, or theft. In your case, you turned that need to grab good ideas into a benefit for that organization.
