The benefits of blogging, beyond the opportunity to particulate in and get to know others in the talent blogging community, are many. I have found it to be a great avenue of learning and development. It requires me to pay attention and read up on what is happening in - and around - my profession ... and then to reflect on what these trends, developments and questions mean. To form and articulate an opinion, to commit to it by putting it in writing in a public forum, and then to have the chance to hear others' responses and counterpoints.
It brings visibility, and with visibility comes a number of interesting opportunities.
