WorldatWork, the association for reward professionals, has just launched a new online community designed to give professionals in the areas of compensation, benefits, work-life and total rewards a forum for interaction, knowledge sharing and problem solving as well as easy access to extensive topical resources.
If you're a WorldatWork member, you've already received an announcement and invitation to join the community. I think you'll be impressed with its design, capabilities and offerings.
If you are not a WorldatWork member, this is an incredible gift from WorldatWork to you (and you should feel free to say "thank you"!). While some resources are limited to members only, the non-member public can join for free, invite others, access a host of features and join in discussion with compensation, benefits and work-life professionals.
The new Online Community is less than a week old, and it seems to be working great! While it is a great tool for networking, it is even more outstanding as a tool for researching and pursuing issues on total rewards policies. There are some outstanding contributors who seem to be online 24/7 to help WorldatWork members with their issues about compensation & benefit strategies, policies and practices. And there is a very useful Search function to help you find out what has already been discussed on total reward issues. For me, the information I have gained from WorldatWork's Online Community (and predecessor Bulletin Boards) is worth a thousand times more than the annual dues.

Paul:
Agreed that it is an incredible resource. And while the additional benefits that come with membership (the publications, the research, the discounts) make it more than worth the annual dues (I will certainly remain a member!), I think it is a huge gesture on WorldatWork's part to open the community up to the non-member public.

Let's not forget the tremendous value you bring to compensation professionals for free, Ann. Your daily contributions are right up there with those people who contribute to the W@W discussions. In some ways I value yours more, because you generally are right, more informative, unbiased, and much easier to read!
