Silly Ann! Your post implies that you expect the government to act like it expects us to act. I don't recall a time when that's happened. Of course I am a bit of a curmudgeon.

I don't recall a time when that's happened either, but I cannot resist the chance to get a chuckle out of it. Perhaps I should apply for curmudgeonship status as well.

Irony - or business as usual? Rule makers fancy themselves above the rules and each time the public buys it - i.e., gives them an inch - they take a mile!

A solid point - thanks for sharing it here. Rule makers should have to live with the rules they inflict on the public. When this isn't the case, one has to question the rules .. as well as the rule makers.

Just par for the course, SOS, neither new nor different. As I posted elsewhere today, when you decouple performance responsibility from reward consequences, you get Congress.
