The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 includes an amendment to IRS Code Section 132(f), introducing a new employer paid bicycle commuting fringe benefit.
Effective January 1, 2009, the new law allows employers to reimburse employees, on a tax-free basis, up to $20 per month, for certain bicycle commuting expenses.
