Wonderfully thoughtful post. It occurs to me that, unfortunately, sometimes the complexity of these "mixed jobs" is almost exactly, and inversely, proportional to the amount of money available for compensating them, eg. organizations with few resources which are being stretched as thin as possible on too few shoulders.

Somewhere at the middling point of this graph would be the nonprofit manager, who often is paid nearly nothing for a job that includes everything except the kitchen sink.

At the bottom of the graph, of course, would be the parent, who is paid *EXACTLY* nothing for a job that includes everything *PLUS* the kitchen sink! :)

Almost:

Good point. If ever there was a hybrid job, it is that of a parent!

Thanks for the thoughts!
