According to the results of the Global HR Transformation Study conducted by Mercer HR Consulting, half of the nearly 1,400 organizations surveyed worldwide are in the midst of reinventing or transforming their human resource function in response to a clear shift in priorities from the operational to the strategic.
The study (highlights from which include a number of interesting findings) notes the top five human capital challenges that organizations face today - all of which have implications for reward strategy and practices:
- Acquiring key talent/lack of available talent (43% of respondents)
- Driving cultural and behavioral change in the organization (40% of respondents)
- Building leadership capability (40% of respondents)
- Retaining key talent (38% of respondents)
- Increasing line manager capability to handle people management responsibilities (26% of respondents)
Ann,
As usual, you have made me aware of valuable HR information that I would probably have missed. Very interesting report. Thanks.
