College students graduating in 2007 face a promising job market and employers need to be alert to the increasing cost of this new talent, according to findings from the Winter 2007 issue of NACE's (National Association of Colleges & Employers) Quarterly Salary Survey.
Average starting salary offers (and how these figures compare to a year earlier) for a sample of the 70 different majors and disciplines covered in the NACE survey are shown below.

- Electrical Engineering - $54,599 (+3.2% from last year)
- Mechanical Engineering - $54,587 (+7.7% from last year)
- Civil Engineering - $47,145 (+4.8% from last year)
- Computer Science - $51,070 (+2.0% from last year)
- Logistics/Materials Management - $ 43,294 (-1.8% from last year)
- Accounting - $46,508 (+1.7% from last year)
- Business Administration/Management - $43,523 (+9.2% from last year)
- Marketing - $41,323 (+14.0% from last year)
- Finance - $47,905*
- Economics - $51,631*
