The hiring and beginning compensation outlook is bright for the MBA Class of 2007, according to a new report and press release issued by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
Among the highlights of the report:
- Surveyed employers plan to hire 22% more MBAs from the Class of 2007 than they hired from the Class of 2006. (The most aggressive industry sector in this regard appears to be Manufacturing, where employers plan to hire 32% more MBAs in 2007 than in 2006.)
- More than 40% of responding employers report plans to offer new MBAs annual base salaries of more than $75,000. 47% of respondents indicate that they plan to offer base salaries in the range of $50,000 to $75,000.
