In its just released 14th annual survey of compensation and benefits among the nation's largest nonprofits, The Chronicle of Philanthropy finds that the median salary increase for nonprofit executives was 4.8% in 2005.
According to the survey, median reported compensation for nonprofit Chief Executives was $327,575 in 2005.
The Chronicle makes an interesting comparison of the 4.8% median rise in nonprofit executive pay to the new Forbes survey, which reports that business leaders saw a median increase of 2.9% (in the combination of salaries and bonus) from 2004 to 2005.
