Although bonus and incentive compensation plans continue to gain in popularity among non-profits, this sector still appears to lag for-profit organizations in plan prevalence, actual payout and award levels. The following statistics on non-executive bonus/incentive awards come from the 2006/2007 Watson Wyatt Data Services core survey report package (www.wwds.com). Note that these figures reflect the percent of employees in each category who actually received an award, not how many organizations have a plan in place (which may or may not have paid out awards), and the average award paid.
