Nearly half (46.2%) of employers surveyed report offering higher starting salaries to new college graduates who have internship experience, according to the 2006 Experiential Education Survey, a new study published by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (www.naceweb.org).
Among those who offer higher starting salaries to candidates, more than half reported that they add a set percentage on top of their entry-level salaries. On average, they increase a position's entry level salary by 6.8%.
